What a blessing it is for me to serve the people of Rwanda! I will be returning to Rwanda with a new team this June 2011 to continue the relationships and education. We will also continue to work with our friends in Kigali and Butare.
The training from last year has been well received and has been re-taught many times. The training on hygiene and water purification saves lives, especially the vulnerable children. Many children die from diarrhea, from dirty water and poor sanitation every year.
Through Community PEACE we will continue to partner with the Hygiene and Water Purification Initiative. We will on this trip be doing refresher training for our previous students and then co-training with them as directed by the local Inner Church Councils in the respective districts. This will get valuable information out to many other churches in the communities. We will also continue to develop the Sunrise PEN/PAL Program, linking elementary students together and increasing cross-cultural literacy.
In order for me to return this June to serve, would you prayerfully consider supporting the Sunrise Team financially? Your financial gift of any amount is "Tax-Deductible". The cost of the trip is $3500 and we will be purchasing the tickets very soon.
I continue to be amazed at God's provision in continuing to serve his children in Rwanda.
